On holding the Republican seminar titled "Compulsory social insurance in the context of modernization of social protection of the population"
On November 1, 2019, the Republican seminar "Compulsory social insurance in the context of modernizing the social protection of the population" (hereinafter - Seminar) will be held at the Palace of Independence in Nur-Sultan.
The organizers of the event are the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the JSC State Social Insurance Fund.
The theme of the Seminar is related to one of the main priorities of the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the people of Kazakhstan titled "Constructive public dialogue - the basis of stability and prosperity of Kazakhstan" dated September 2 this year in terms of implementing a new stage of social modernization.
The main goal of the Seminar is a constructive discussion and generalization of foreign experience:
- to ensure social payments, social assistance and special social services that meet international standards and the expectations of the population;
- on the mechanisms of modernization, innovative and technological development of social security, including compulsory social insurance;
- in the field of digitalization and automation of social security services;
- on the advantages of single operators in the provision of services in the field of social security.
The following representatives of state bodies and organisations, local executive bodies will partake in the event: the Confederation of Employers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Federation of Trade Unions, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken", JSC "State Social Insurance Fund", the Social Health Insurance Fund, UAPF, JSC “Center for the Development of Labor Resources”, PJS "Government for Citizens", Life Insurance Company JSC "State Annuity Company", State Enterprise “Republican Research Institute for Labor Protection”, experts from member countries of the International Social Security Association and the International Association pension and social funds and other organizations.
The seminar will become a dialogue platform for discussing new approaches to solving urgent problems of social modernization, considering advanced social theories and practices of social insurance.
On holding "Best Social Projects of Kazakhstan" Republican exhibition
On November 1, 2019, "Best Social Projects of Kazakhstan" (hereinafter - Exhibition) Republican Exhibition will be held at the Palace of Independence in Nur-Sultan.
The organizers of the Exhibition are the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population and the State Social Insurance Fund.
The exhibition has been held since 2013 on the eve of the professional holiday - the Day of workers of the system of social protection of the population in the implementation of the National plan for the development of interaction between non-governmental organizations and the state in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Between the years of 2013-2019, 1192 applications were submitted for participation in the competition, of which 228 social projects in the regional aspect and 19 at the republican level were recognized as winners.
This year, the work of the best social projects was evaluated in five areas:
- "Information promotion of solving social problems" (33 applications);
- "Development of the volunteer movement in the social sphere" (35 applications);
- "Ensuring Equal Opportunities" (84 applications);
- "Providing assistance in the employment of citizens, including persons with disabilities"
- "Assistance in overcoming difficult life situations" (31 applications).
In 2019, 57 projects were selected as the winners of regional competitions from 224 submitted applications, which will be presented at the Republican exhibition on November 1, 2019.
The purpose of this event is to identify, select, encourage and promote the best initiative social projects aimed at socialization, solving urgent social problems, draw the attention of civil society to the problems of people in difficult life situations. And most importantly, to show how civil society itself helps them in creating equal opportunities for them to live and develop their creative potential.
Thanks to the ongoing social projects in Kazakhstan, hundreds of thousands of people all over the country every day feel care, kindness and attention in overcoming difficult life circumstances that arise on their way.
