On July 28, 2022, a meeting was held at the State Social Insurance Fund JSC (hereinafter - Fund) with the participation of the Vice Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.E. Sagindykova.
A report on the results of the Fund's activities for the 1st half of 2022 and priority tasks for the future was made by the Director General of the Fund N.M. Kemel.
Compulsory social insurance is based on the principles of solidarity, since social contributions are paid by employers for all working citizens, and only those who have a social risk can receive benefits.
About 6.6 million working citizens participate in the system of compulsory social insurance and more than 1.1 million people receive social benefits during the year.
For the 1st half of 2022, social benefits were made to 834.3 thousand recipients for a total amount of almost 199 billion tenge.
In addition to social benefits for disability at the expense of budgetary funds, about 90 thousand people received social benefits in case of disability from the Fund in the total amount of 14.9 billion tenge.
Also, more than 57 thousand families received a social benefit for the loss of a breadwinner from the Fund for a total amount of 10.6 billion tenge in addition to similar social benefits at the expense of budgetary funds.
About 60 thousand workers who lost their jobs and were registered as unemployed received a benefits for the loss of a job from the Fund in the total amount of 8.1 billion tenge.
More than 122,000 women received social benefits in case of loss of income due to pregnancy and childbirth from the Fund, totaling 79.2 billion tenge.
About 505 thousand people received social benefits in case of loss of income in connection with caring for a child under 1 year old, totaling 86.1 billion tenge.
The priority tasks for the future are the timely and high-quality provision of public services, expanding the coverage of compulsory social insurance, conducting outreach and interaction with relevant government bodies and organizations.
