Since January 1, 2023, in implementation of the Address of the Head of State:

• increased the income replacement rate from 40% to 45%, which is used to calculate the social benefit in case of unemployment. In general, it is expected that in the current year about 117 thousand citizens will be assigned a social benefit in case of unemployment in an increased amount, with an average increase of 13%;  
• the duration of the social benefit for child care was increased from 1 to 1.5 years. This year the benefit will be assigned to more than 500 thousand parents.  

Also increased by 8.5% the amount of social payments assigned in addition to basic state benefits, 78 thousand persons who have lost their ability to work and 55 thousand families who have lost their breadwinner from the State Social Insurance Fund..

Therefore, the social security of working citizens is higher than that of non-working citizens.
