Social benefit in case of disability from the Fund is assigned in addition to the state social allowance for disability, which is paid from budgetary funds. Benefit from the Fund is paid for the period when the medical and social expert examination establishes the degree of general disability from 30% to 100% and is made regardless of the continuation of work activities.
As of 1 May 2023, 89.3 thousand people had received the above benefit from the Fund in the amount of 11.7 billion tenge, an increase of 20.6% compared to the same period in 2022. The average size of the assigned benefit amounted to 43,654 tenge.
Social benefit in case of loss of a breadwinner from the Fund is assigned to dependents of a participant of the compulsory social insurance system in addition to the state social survivor's allowance, which is paid at the expense of the budget. The benefit is paid from the Fund until the dependents attain the age of 18, and in case of full-time education until the age of 23.
For 4 months of current year 58,4 thousand families who lost breadwinner received the specified benefit from Fund in amount of 8,2 billion tenge which is more by 20,4% in comparison with analogous period of last year. The average size of the appointed benefit amounted to 46,138 tenge .
Social benefit in case of job loss from the Fund is assigned to a member of the system, regardless of the reason for his or her dismissal. The main condition for its assignment is registration as unemployed. It is with registration that a participant becomes eligible for a social security benefit. Depending on the length of participation in the system, the payment is made for a period of 1 to 6 months. The size of the benefit depends on the average monthly income from which social contributions were made to the Fund for the last 2 years before registration as unemployed, length of participation in the system and income replacement rate (45%).
From January to April 2023 75.4 thousand people received the above benefit in the amount of 12.4 billion tenge, which is 2.5 times more than for the same period in 2022. The average size of the appointed payment is 50,762 tenge.
Social benefit in case of loss of income in connection with pregnancy and childbirth, adoption of a newborn child (children) from the Fund is assigned for all days of maternity leave.
The amount of benefit depends on the average monthly income from which social contributions were made to the Fund for the last 12 months before the issue of a temporary disability certificate for pregnancy and childbirth and the number of days of disability.
As of 1 May 2023, 102.5 thousand expectant mothers received this one-time benefit for a total amount of 99.8 billion tenge, which is twice as much as the same period last year. The average size of the assigned benefit amounted to 1,096,906 tenge.
Monthly social benefit in case of loss of income in connection with care for a child under the age of one and a half years from the Fund is assigned from the date of birth of the child. The amount of benefit is 40% of the average monthly income from which social contributions were made to the Fund for the last 2 years. If two or more children are born, the benefit is assigned to each child separately.
From January to April 2023 this benefit was assigned to 98.9 thousand people and the average monthly benefit amounted to 61,208 tenge. Benefits were paid in the amount of 72.8 billion tenge, an increase of 28.5%, compared with the same period in 2022.
