The social benefit for disability from the Fund is assigned in addition to the SSB for disability, which is paid from the budgetary funds. Payment from the Fund is carried out during the period of loss of general working capacity in the extent of 30% to 100%, established by medical and social expertise, and regardless the extension of work activity. 

As of June 1, 2023, 90.8 thousand people received social benefit for disability from the Fund in the amount of 14.7 billion tenge, which is 20.5% more than in the same period of 2022. The average amount of the assigned benefit was slightly more than 44 thousand tenge.

Survivors social benefits from the Fund is assigned to persons who were dependent on a participant in the compulsory social insurance system in addition to the survivors social benefits, which is paid by the budget. The payment from the Fund is carried out until the dependents reach the age of 18, and in the case of full-time education up to 23 years.

During 5 months of this year, 59.2 thousand families who lost a breadwinner received this payment from the Fund in the amount of 10.3 billion tenge, which is 19.8% more than the amount for the same period last year. The average amount of the assigned payment was 47,778 tenge.

Unemployment social benefit from the Fund is assigned to the participant of the system, regardless of the reason for his dismissal. The main condition for the appointment of this benefit is registration as an unemployed person. The registration gives the right to receive this social benefit. Depending on the length of participation in the system, the payment is made from 1 to 6 months. The amount of the payment depends on the average monthly income from which social contributions were made to the Fund for the last 2 years before registering as unemployed, the length of participation in the system and the income replacement coefficient (45%). 

From January to May 2023, 94.4 thousand people received the abovementioned payment in the amount of 16.5 billion tenge, which was 1.5 times higher than the amount for the same period in 2022. The average amount of the assigned payment exceeded 50 thousand tenge.

Social benefits on maternity and adoption of a newborn child (children) from the Fund is assigned for all days of maternity leave. 

The amount of the benefit depends on the average monthly income from which social contributions were made to the Fund for the last 12 months before the date of maternity leave and the number of days of disability.

As of June 1, 2023, 127.3 thousand expectant mothers received this one-time payment or a total of 129.6 billion tenge, which is 2 times more than the amount compared to the same period last year. The average amount of the assigned payment was 1,119,970 tenge.

The monthly social benefit for loss of income due to caring for a child up to the age of one and a half years from the Fund is granted from the date of birth of the child. The amount of the payment is 40% of the average monthly income from which social contributions have been made to the Fund for the last 2 years. If you have two or more children, the benefit is paid for each child separately.  

From January to May 2023, 126,0 thousand people received this benefit and the average monthly benefit amounted to 62,270 tenge. The benefit was paid in the amount of 95.2 billion tenge, an increase of 34%, compared to the same period in 2022.
