In 2023, 17 270 citizens realized their right to social payments from the State Social Insurance Fund (hereinafter referred to as the SSIF) due to Digital Family Card, giving their consent via SMS.

The Digital Family Card (hereinafter referred to as the DFC) is a daily "electronic notifier" of citizens about their rights to receive one or another type of guaranteed state support, depending on their social status.

Currently, the DFC gives Kazakhstanis who are members of the social insurance system the opportunity to apply for 3 types of social payments from the State Social Insurance Fund without any requests: in case of disability, in case of job loss, and loss of a breadwinner.

When establishing the right to receive state support measures, an SMS notification is sent to the potential recipient from the unified contact center 1414. A citizen who has received an SMS must respond to it with consent. The registration of the application and the appointment of the social payment will be made automatically, followed by the transfer of funds to the recipient's bank account.

The provision of services for the purpose of social payments in a proactive format is possible if the recipient's mobile phone number is registered in the database of mobile citizens, this can be done through the portal egov.kz .

In 2023, with the help of the DFC, social payments from the State Social Insurance Fund were assigned to 17 270 citizens.

In general, payments from the SSIF last year covered about 1.3 million Kazakhstanis in the amount of 750.7 billion tenge.
