The social benefit for disability from the SSIF is assigned in addition to the state social allowance for disability at the expense of budgetary funds. The social survivor benefit from the SSIF is assigned to the dependents of a participant in the compulsory social insurance system (CSIS) in addition to the state social survivor benefit from the budget. In 2022, 61,400 families who lost the breadwinner received the above benefit from SSIF in the amount of 21.3 billion tenge, which is 20% more than in 2021. In order to ensure purchasing power, the amount of disability and survivor benefits is increased annually. Thus, from January 1, 2023, the amount of payments increased by 8.5%.

Social benefit for unemployment from the SSIF is assigned regardless of the reasons for dismissal. The right to payment arises from the date of registration as an unemployed participant in the SSIF through the employment center or the portal "Electronic Labor Exchange" (enbek.kz). The benefit is appointed from 1 to 6 months, depending on the length of participation in the SOSS. In 2022 110,600 people received the above-mentioned payment, amounting to 19.1 billion tenge, an increase of 18% compared with 2021. The average size of the assigned payment is 44,833 tenge.

Since January 1, 2023, in implementation of the Address of the Head of State, the income replacement rate was increased from 40% to 45%, which is used to calculate the social payment for unemployment. 

Social benefit for loss of income due to pregnancy and childbirth, adoption of a newborn child (children) is assigned for all days of maternity leave.  In 2022, 251,100 future mothers received this one-time payment for a total amount of 197.9 billion tenge, which is 60% more than in 2021. The average size of the assigned payment is 809,226 tenge.

Monthly social benefit for loss of income due to care for a child under one year of age from the SSIF is assigned from the date of birth of the child. The amount of benefit is 40% of the average monthly income for the last 2 years. If two or more children are born, the payment is assigned to each child separately. In 2022 this benefit was assigned to 321.8 thousand people. A total of 171.9 billion tenge was paid during the year, which is more by 11% than in 2021. Since January 1, 2023, in implementation of the Address of the Head of State, the duration of social benefits for child care has been increased from one year to one and a half years.
