On Social Payments from the SSIF
The State Social Insurance Fund (SSIF) provides an additional level of social protection for working citizens.
In the first half of 2025, more than 1 million people received social payments from the State Social Insurance Fund in the amount of 492.4 billion. tenge, which is 9% more than in the same period of 2024.
Social payment in case of disability from the State Social Insurance Fund is assigned to participants of the compulsory social insurance system (hereinafter referred to as the system) in addition to the state social disability allowance, which is paid at the expense of budgetary funds. Payment from the State Social Insurance Fund is carried out during the period of general disability with a degree from 30% to 100%, established by medical and social expertise and does not depend on continuing employment.
По состоянию на 1 июля 2025 выплату по случаю утраты трудоспособности из ГФСС получили 94,4 тыс. участников системы на сумму 25,7 млрд. тенге, что на 11% больше по сравнению с аналогичным периодом 2024 года. Ежемесячный средний размер назначенной выплаты составил 70 574 тенге.
Social payment for the loss of a breadwinner from the State Social Insurance Fund is assigned to persons who were dependent on a participant in the system in addition to the state social benefit for the loss of a breadwinner at the expense of the budget. Payment from the State Pension Fund is carried out until the dependents reach the age of 18, and in the case of full-time education up to 23 years.
В отчетном периоде указанную выплату из ГФСС получили 64,8 тыс. семей, потерявших кормильца, на сумму 19,1 млрд. тенге, что больше на 12% по сравнению с аналогичным периодом 2024 года. Ежемесячный средний размер назначенной выплаты составил 72 528 тенге.
Social security payment in case of job loss from the State Social Insurance Fund is assigned to a participant in the system, regardless of the reason for his dismissal. The main condition for the appointment is the registration of a participant in the system as unemployed. It is with registration that the participant acquires the right to receive social benefits. Depending on the length of service in the system, payments are made from 1 to 6 months. The amount of the payment depends on the average monthly income from which social contributions were made to the State Social Insurance Fund for the last 2 years before registering as unemployed and the length of service in the system.
В январе-июне указанная выплата осуществлена на сумму 62,2 млрд. тенге, её получили 220,9 тыс. участников системы, что на 23% превысило количество получателей за январь-июнь 2024 года. Ежемесячный средний размер назначенной выплаты – 88 856 тенге.
Социальная выплата по случаю потери дохода в связи с беременностью и родами, усыновлением (удочерением) новорожденного ребенка (детей) из ГФСС назначается на все дни отпуска по беременности и родам.

The amount of the payment is 40% of the average monthly income from which social contributions to the State Social Insurance Fund have been made over the past 2 years. If two or more children are born, the payment is assigned to each child separately.
In the reporting period, this payment was assigned to 129.2 thousand people and the monthly average payment amount was 89,881 tenge. The payment was made in the amount of 218.5 billion rubles. tenge, which is 13% more than the amount for the same period in 2024.
Thus, the social protection of working citizens due to the additional level of the compulsory social insurance system is much higher than that of non-working people.
