On December 22, a board meeting was held with the participation of the First Vice Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sarbasov A.A., dedicated to the results of the activities of the SSIF for 2023 and priorities for the future

Director General of the SSIF N. Kemel delivered the main report at the meeting.

As of December 1, 2023, the compulsory social insurance system covers about 6.8 million working citizens.

Within the framework of the Social Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the range of persons subject to compulsory social insurance has been expanded – from July 1, 2023, the system includes individual assistants caring for persons with disabilities of group 1, from January 1, 2025, the system will cover persons working under a civil law contracts.

Social payments from the State Social Insurance Fund for 6 types of social risks were made to approximately 1.2 million recipients in the amount of 682.6 billion tenge.

In 2023, the amount of assigned social payments 92 thousand to recipients of disability and 61 thousand to families who lost a breadwinner increased by 23% in annual terms.

The instructions of the Head of the State to increase the duration of social payments for child care to one and a half years have been implemented, the income replacement coefficient for calculating social payments for job loss has been increased to 45%.

Since July 1 this year, within the framework of the Social Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the period for the provision of public services rendered in electronic form has been reduced to 4 working days. In the reporting period, the share of electronic services for the purpose of social payments reached the level of 59%.

Following the meeting, First Vice Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sarbasov A.A. gave instructions to ensure the timeliness and quality of public services to citizens, including the development of electronic services, extensive information outreach in the regions, etc.

About 80 people took part in the meeting.
