In the first half of the year of JSC State Social Insurance Fund (hereinafter - SSIF) has been provided 389.1 thousand services for the appointment of social benefits, 139.3 thousand of which were provided in electronic form.

Almost half of the services (46%) were for assignment of social benefits for loss of income due to care for a child under 1 year of age.

Also in the first half of the year, there were 14,375 services for social benefits for disability, and 53,936 for job loss.

At the same time, 42.7% of services for social payments for loss of ability to work and 49% for loss of work were provided in a composite format, that is, the application for the appointment of payments is sent to SSIF automatically after the medical and social expertise departments establish the degree of loss of general ability to work, or after registration of a participant in the compulsory social insurance system in the employment center as unemployed.

Today, with the development of digital technology, the most convenient way to receive services is the appointment of social benefits in a proactive format, when no application from a citizen is required.

In order to receive a service in a proactive format, the recipient must respond to an SMS message that informs him or her about a particular service. In the first half of this year SSIF rendered 49.8 thousand proactive services.

In addition, with an electronic digital signature, participants of the mandatory social insurance system can apply for the assignment of social benefits from the SSIF through the portal egov.kz. In the 1 half of 2021, 48.3 thousand services were provided through the e-government portal.

Also in 2021, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the RK launched a project to provide services of employment centers through the Electronic Labor Exchange to simplify the procedures of registration of the unemployed and facilitate the receipt of public services for the appointment of social payments for loss of employment. In total, 8.6 thousand people were assigned payments through the portal enbek.kz.

The amount of social payments upon the occurrence of social risks directly depends on the amount of social contributions received by the fund. In this regard, the SSIF recommends that participants of the mandatory social insurance system keep track of social contributions paid through the portal egov.kz.
