Since the beginning of the year, as of July 1, 2023, more than 830 thousand people have received social payments in the amount of about 333 billion tenge from the State Social Insurance Fund.

Disability social payment from the Fund is assigned in addition to the state social benefit for disability, which is paid from republican budget. Payment from the Fund is carried out during the period of general working capacity loss to the extent of 30% to 100%, established by medical-social expertise, and regardless of the continuation of work.

As of July 1, 2023, 92.2 thousand people received payments disability from the Fund in the amount of 17.7 billion tenge, which is 18.8% more than in the same period of 2022. The average amount of the assigned payment was slightly more than 44 thousand tenge.

Survivor social payment from the Fund is assigned to persons who were dependent on a participant in the compulsory social insurance system in addition to the state social benefit for the loss of a breadwinner, which is paid from the budget. The payment from the Fund is carried out until the dependents reach the age of 18, and in the case of full-time education up to 23 years.

For 6 months period this year, 59.9 thousand families who lost a breadwinner received this payment from the Fund in the amount of 12.5 billion tenge, which is 17.9% more than the amount for the same period last year. The average amount of the assigned payment was 48,308 tenge.

Unemployment social payment from the Fund is assigned to the participant of the system, regardless the reason of his dismiss. The main condition for her appointment is his registration as an unemployed person. The registration gives the right to acquire the social payment. Depending on the length of participation in the system, the payment is made from 1 to 6 months. The amount of the payment depends on the average monthly income from which social contributions were made to the Fund for the last 2 years before registering as unemployed, the length of participation in the system and the income replacement coefficient (45%).

In the 1st half of 2023, 110.6 thousand people received this payment in the amount of 20.5 billion tenge, which was 1.5 times higher than the amount for the same period in 2022. The average amount of the assigned payment exceeded 51 thousand tenge.

Social payment on maternity and adoption of a newborn child (children) from the Fund is assigned for all days of maternity leave.

The amount of the payment depends on the average monthly income from which social contributions were made to the Fund for the last 12 months before the date of maternity leave and the number of days of incapacity.

As of July 1, 2023, 153.3 thousand expectant mothers received this lump sum payment for a total of 162.9 billion tenge, which is almost 2 times more than the amount compared to the same period last year. The average amount of the assigned payment was 1,147,257 tenge.

Monthly childcare social payment from the Fund is assigned from the date of birth of the child. The amount of the payment is 40% of the average monthly income from which social contributions were made to the Fund over the past 2 years. If two or more children are born, the payment is assigned to each child separately.

From January to June 2023, this payment was assigned to 152.9 thousand people and the monthly average payment amount was 63,410 tenge. The payment was made in the amount of 119.3 billion tenge, which is 38.6% more than in the same period of 2022.
