Since July 1, 2023, the Rules governing the procedure for assigning social benefits from SSIF have been adopted in the implementation of the Social Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.  

The main approaches to the appointment and calculation of social benefits are fully preserved.

The new regulations are:  

- reduction of the deadline for the assignment of social benefits by electronic appeal (e-government portal, "Electronic Labor Exchange", mobile applications of second-tier banks, proactively) from 8 to 4 working days;

- assignment of social benefits based on income information in case of excessively (by mistake) paid social contributions. At the same time, the payer will be notified of the possibility of making a refund of such social contributions;

- determination of the amount of social benefits on the basis of actually received social contributions, if they are not made or not made in full upon receipt of the applicant's consent.

These novelties will reduce the time and optimize the process of providing public services from the SSIF.

For reference: The rules for calculating (determining) the size, appointment, implementation, suspension, recalculation, renewal, termination and revision of the decision on the appointment of social benefits were approved by the orders of the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of RK, including on:

• • unemployment social benefit (order No. 237 of 22.06.2023);  • disability social benefit (order No. 238 of 22.06.2023);
• • survivors social benefit (order No. 239 of 22.06.2023);  • social benefit on maternity and adoption of a newborn child (children), childcare social benefit (order No. 248 of 27.06.2023).
