On September 20-21, 2017, Astana will host a republican seminar "Social contributions - ensuring adequate social payments to the employed population" (hereinafter - Seminar).

The organizers of the event are the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State Social Insurance Fund JSC.

The main purpose of the Seminar is to discuss the following issues:

- improving the social security system, taking into account the observance of the principles of insurance and social justice;

- implementation of new approaches in expanding the coverage of the population with social insurance;

- the relevance of the interaction of state revenue bodies with organizations of compulsory social and medical insurance, as well as pension provision on the payment of social contributions, insurance premiums and mandatory pension contributions;

- the importance of timely and full payment of mandatory payments for the working population in order to provide an additional form of social protection.

It is assumed that the participants of the Seminar will be representatives of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, state bodies and organizations, local executive bodies, the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken", as well as experts from member countries of the International Association of Pension and Social Funds.

Within the framework of the Seminar, it is planned to hold the annual Republican exhibition "The Best Social Projects Implemented in Kazakhstan" (hereinafter - Exhibition), with a solemn ceremony of awarding the authors of the best social projects.

The purpose of the Exhibition is to support ongoing and created social projects that have social effectiveness, contribute to improving the quality of life of people with disabilities and aimed at providing real assistance to people in difficult life situations, including the elderly, people with disabilities, socially vulnerable groups. population, large and low-income families, etc. (hereinafter referred to as persons in a difficult life situation).

Non-governmental organizations, including public associations, carrying out activities aimed at providing measures of social assistance and support to persons (families) in difficult life situations, regardless of funding sources, will take part in the Exhibition.

Commissions have been set up in all regions to select the best social projects. The selection of the best social projects will be carried out at the level of regional commissions. The winners of regional competitions will be submitted for consideration by the Republican Commission and presented in September 2017 at the Exhibition.
