All you have to do is dial your Individual Identification Number (IIN) and find out if you can get a job loss benefit, for how many months, where to apply and what documents are required.

The service is available on the website www.gfss.kz in the section “Electronic Services / Right to receive social benefits in case of job loss” or by selecting the quick access link in the upper left part of the main page.

Job loss payments are assigned to persons recognized as unemployed. Therefore, in the event of a job loss, you must immediately register as unemployed at the Employment Center and apply for a benefit in case of job loss.

The term for receiving this type of payment is from 1 to 4 months. The term of payments increases to 6 months in cases of dismissal due to redundancy, liquidation of the organization or reduction in production volumes.

In order to strengthen the relationship between seniority and the amount of payments in the system of compulsory social insurance, a Draft Law "On Compulsory Social Insurance" has been developed.

The bill provides for an increase in the income replacement rate for recipients of social benefits for job loss from 30% to 40%, and an increase in the payment period depending on the length of service in the system.
