As part of the events dedicated to the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, employees of the State Social Insurance Fund (SSIF) visited the video exhibition "Elin suigen, eli suigen Elbasy" in the museum and memorial complex of victims of political repression and totalitarianism "ALZHIR".
During the visit, the employees got acquainted with the video presentation about the Head of State.
The museum and memorial complex of victims of political repressions and totalitarianism "ALZHIR" was opened on May 31, 2007 on the initiative and with the participation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev in the village of Akmol, Tselinograd district, Akmola region.
It was here that the infamous Akmola camp for the wives of traitors to the motherland - "ALZHIR" was located, where more than 18 thousand women were kept in different years. Women, whose only fault was that they were simply the wives of the arrested, shot "enemies of the people".
The documentary exhibition, through archival documents and materials, showed the history and tragedy of broken destinies, the unfulfilled hopes and dreams of our fellow citizens, blown into oblivion by the cruel wind of Stalinist terror.
Also, a screening of the documentary film "The Fierce Cold of ALZHIR" was organized for the employees.
