Kazakhstanis have the opportunity to receive social benefits in case of job loss in the Halyk digital ecosystem.

In order to receive benefits, you must:

1. Be registered or register as unemployed (registration is available at egov.kz, enbek.kz or at the Employment and Social Programs Center);
2. Apply through the "State Services" section of the Halyk app.

The state agency's response will be sent to the Halyk app within 6 business days. If the application is approved, the money will be credited to the client's account.

The amount of the social benefit is up to 45 percent of the lost income. The duration is up to 6 months.

The service is implemented jointly with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Digital Development and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, "Center for Workforce Development" JSC and "National Information Technology" JSC.

"Work to provide citizens with access to social and labor services on various platforms is ongoing. It was through the SLB that our first services became available in 2021 - "Appointment of benefits for child birth and child care" and "Appointment of social benefit for loss of income due to child care upon reaching the age of one and a half years". For 2022, this list has expanded by 4 more services. Submission of an application for benefit for loss of work is already the second service implemented this year", - said the Vice-Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerbol Ospanov.

"As our experience shows, collaboration with government agencies makes life a lot easier for our citizens, allowing them to reduce unnecessary trips to various government structures and institutions. For our part, we usually analyze which service is most popular with the population and how it can be linked to the capabilities of the bank. Then we look at how we can technically implement it on our platform, discuss it with government agencies, and then organize joint work on the implementation of the service," said Nariman Mukushev, deputy chairman of Halyk.

To date, more than 40 public services are available to bank customers.
