Saule Dyusenova, the President of SSIF JSC, stated that as of July 1, 2017, the number of participants for whom social contributions were made over the past 2 years amounted to 6.6 million people, and the amount of social contributions and penalties received amounted to 1,797.8 billion. tenge, including the amount of penalties - 5.2 billion tenge.

Since 2005, more than 3.5 million Kazakhstanis have received social benefits from the SSIF in the amount of more than 825 billion tenge.

During the first half of 2017, payments from the SSIF amounted to 76.1 billion tenge. Expenses for social payments for pregnancy and childbirth, adoption of a newborn child (children) amounted to 31.6 billion tenge, for caring for a child until he reaches the age of one year - 34.7 billion tenge, disability - 4.9 billion tenge, loss of a breadwinner - 4.0 billion tenge, loss of work - 0.9 billion tenge.

Speaking about the main directions for the further development of the Fund, she noted that they are determined by the Development Strategy, in the following main areas:

• Ensuring financial stability, through the completeness of payment of social contributions, ensuring the coverage of the working population by the social insurance system, enhancing investment activities;
• Full provision of social payments to recipients and within the time limits established by law.

“Ultimately, these areas will provide a solid foundation for the implementation of the main goal of social insurance - increasing the social security of Kazakhstanis,” she noted.
