SPPC = AMD × ICR
AMD – average monthly income used as the social contribution base, calculated by dividing the sum of incomes with social contributions over the last 12 calendar months (regardless of gaps), preceding the month when the right to SPPC arose, by 12.
Social contributions paid after the right to SPPC arises are not counted, except for contributions for the month preceding the month the right arose.
If multiple contributions for the same month from the same payer are received, the total income for that month used for SPPC is capped at 7 × the minimum monthly wage for that year.
ICR – income replacement coefficient: number of days on the sick leave (pregnancy/childbirth or adoption) divided by 30 calendar days.
10% mandatory pension contributions are withheld from SPPC and sent to the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund (per the Social Code of Kazakhstan).
Return of overpaid SPPC is made via banks as follows:
Beneficiary: JSC “Government for Citizens” State Corporation
Beneficiary Bank: JSC “Government for Citizens” State Corporation
IIK: KZ67009SS00368609110
BIC: GCVPKZ2A
BIN: 160440007161
KBE: 11
KNP: 097 — voluntary return of the social payment for loss of income due to pregnancy and childbirth, adoption of a newborn (purpose must be specified).
Application for SPPC (and recalculation for complicated delivery or multiple births) must be filed within 12 months from the date the right arose.
Service time:
- through “Government for Citizens” State Corporation — 8 business days;
- through e-government portal or mobile device (proactive) — 4 business days.
For complicated delivery or birth of two or more children, recalculation is done by deducting the previously assigned amount from the newly calculated SPPC, using the total number of sick-leave days.
The State Corporation prepares a draft decision for the Fund branch to approve, based on the recipient’s application.
If social contributions for the period used in the original calculation arrive after the application date, recalculation of already assigned SPPC is not performed.
