Sustainable Development
Sustainable development is defined as development in which the Foundation manages the impact of its activities on the environment, economy, and society and makes decisions that take into account stakeholder interests. Responsible, thoughtful, and rational stakeholder engagement will contribute to the Foundation's sustainable development.
Sustainable development at the Foundation is based on three component goals: environmental, social, and economic.
The environmentalcomponent minimizes impacts on biological and physical natural systems through the use of environmentally friendly, energy- and material-saving technologies, the optimal use of limited resources, and the minimization, recycling, and disposal of waste.
The social component is focused on the principles of social responsibility through respect for human rights, labor law requirements, social stability, and the building of trusting internal corporate relationships within workforces, job creation, and fair and decent wages for employees, regardless of gender differences.
The economic component directs the Fund's activities toward increasing long-term value by ensuring the interests of the Sole Shareholder, achieving financial and operational indicators, increasing the efficiency of business processes, and preventing corruption and fraud within the Fund.
The Fund's Sustainable Development Goals:
- Integrating sustainable development principles into the Fund's activities;
- Conducting business analysis and risk management across the three pillars of sustainable development;
- Creating mechanisms for effective engagement with stakeholders, including regular reporting on sustainability performance.
The Fund's internal documents on sustainable development:
The Fund supports the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2015, recognizes their importance, and strives to make a significant contribution to their achievement. The Fund has identified seven relevant UN SDGs applicable to the Fund's activities, in whose achievement the Fund can contribute and influence.
The Fund's internal documents on sustainable development include:
